The department of service to foreign residents, coordinated by the Dirección de Desarrollo Económico, Relaciones Internacionales and several NGOs, are offering assistance via Whatsapp and Email.
The mail address is: expats@sanmigueldeallende.gob.mx and the Whatsapp message-only number 415 130 84 31, and with a 9:00 am to 6:00 pm work hours.
The trained staff will link the expat community with the corresponding area and providing follow-up. The service offers bilingual assistance.
It’s important to note that both the email and the Whatsapp aren’t meant for emergencies, and if anyone needs urgent help they need to dial 911, which has bilingual operators 24/7.
